July 17th 2011 This year, Atlantic Airpark, the "Village aeronautique" where we live is 10 years old. We are having a "fly in" with a picnic. We welcome visitors by air and you will be assured of a good welcome, excellent food and drink at a reasonable price and even some entertainment. To comply with the terms of our planning permission, ALL NON RESIDENTS' LANDINGS MUST BE APPROVED AT LEAST 48 HOURS IN ADVANCE, so if you are interested please register your interest as soon as possible and I will follow up your landing authorisation nearer the time. If you want to come the day before, or earlier, accommodation can be arranged and you will not have to worry about surface transport To learn more about where we are and how to find us go to www.atlanticairpark.comI look forward to seeing you. Hi Thanks for your best wishes. Its going to be a great "do" The President of the Aero Club is a chef of some renown. We have great club meals.
Only this weekend a couple of past members of the club who now live at Millau (Where the great bridge is) turned up. In their honour, the chef rustled up an impromptu meal starting with prawns flambéd in whiskey, followed by chicken flambéd in cognac and cooked with mushrooms, cream, mustard and white wine. My wife went home and knocked up a large merringue roulard. Washed down with some good wine. A fine night was had by all.
