I'm having trouble with this, and the poor quality doesn't help. I think it's been speeded up - I can't believe anyone would taxi that fast at JFK, especially in an A380 in what is clearly a crowded area. The A380 certainly seems to taxi slowly at MAN. I'd be interested in the comments of other forum members. Either way, there will no doubt be a big inquiry into what happened.

Am I just about to make a fool of myself, but to me the aircraft is too long, too narrow, cockpit too high up etc - is it actually an A.340 not the stated A.380? The tail though looks too large for an A.340, I cannot make out the wing end-plates unfortunately. Certainly speeded up, but is it also stretched? Assuming it to have been a recent incident, I can find no mention on www.aviation-safety.net/index.php which is rather strange, as little seems to get past them. Two and half hours later, incident is now indeed on aviation-safety.net, as A.380 F-HPJD

A link to this video was first posted in the 'Industry News' section early this morning, on a thread with a less sensationalist title 'Incident @ JFK', and has been attracting comment and further links during the day.

Listening to the ATC on this I was amused to hear the controller ask the Commair pilot if he needed anything ? would that answer be a change of underwear and also the name and address and insurance details and reg number of the french guy. Could have been a lot worse though.

You can pretty certain that Air France will put the blame for this on Continental Airways.
