Last Day had arrived- so already packed we had a leisurely breakfast in the hotel, then back to the room, to collect our cases. Left our excellent cleaner a nice tip. Then down stairs to check out. The missus had her farewell go on the slots, whilst I checked us both out of the hotel.
Then a taxi to terminal 2 and went to the Thomas Cook Desk, where I was amazed to see so many people already there. I was therefore glad that we had upgraded, and we were soon booked in and through security and airside in a short space of time.
Terminal 2 is situated on the far side of the airport opposite the strip, and unless the wind has changed you do not see an awful lot of stuff- never the less the following was logged.

Then it was time to board our flight home this being A330-G-MDBD- for the very smooth 9 hour flight back to Manchester. Only the take-off gave the usual few bumps, but after that happy days, which I was glad of, as the wife hates flying.
Landed a few minutes earlier than expected at Manchester wher I logged CS-DXG- C560- G-COBO ATR- ;D N278AY A330, EI-SLM ATR, N403ND C525 ;D, LN-RPH 737 and LX-STA- A320.
Then it was quickly through passport control and picked up our cases, then to the taxi home, and spent the rest of the day back to nomality, cutting the grass etc.
Great holiday, sorry I did not have a bit longer for such a long journey.
Thanks go to my wife Jan for her patience over the weeks holiday, with putting up with my spotting, and also for enduring the two flights which I know she hated, but hey thats love.
Also thanks also to Alan Jones for providing me with the comprehensive info re Henderson and North Las Vegas. Which I did not visit due to the circumstances mentioned in previous posts.
I did take a few photo's which I will post later, but not a lot, as the number crunching was more important to me than taking a lot of photographs.
Finally I hope this has given you all an insight into what you can see at Las Vegas, the car hire for me was a big bonus- saves lots of bus and taxi fares to the viewing area as well as long walks back to the strip.
If you have never been- take the time out to go, this was my 5th visit, and again we both loved it. Its a great place to visit. Only downside- the flights.
Next trip to the States will be in 2013 when Chicago is on my radar. Job Cuts allowing of course. 2012 will be some European destinations not yet visited.
Happy Days
Bob
