Omega Boeing 707 N707AR crashed on take off from in Port Hueneme-Point Mugu NAS in California at 17:25 local time. The aircarft was a Boeing 707-321 B with C/N of 20029. It has been flying since 1969 and was on tanker duties. Apparently an engine caught fire on take off and the aircraft went off the left side of runway 21 into a marsh area and caught fire. It is a write off- but thankfully the crew of three all escaped unhurt. Saw this aircraft on the 16th of Aprl this year in Vegas Bob

Looking at the video of the crash, I find it confusing to put the words and actions together in which it stated the fireman tried to put out the fire. The shot of the foam nozzle was almost humorous when viewed.
