We braved the elements for a good day out at Cholmondley.
Weather was not as bad as we'd expected. Three heavy downpours during the day were luckily avoided by finding shelter.
The weather had a massive effect on helicopter visitors with only TWO helicopters not connected with the show in the parking area!
In the static area were;
ZJ260 Squirrel DHFS
ZJ242 Griffin DHFS
G-OGJC Robinson R44 Private
Parked on the cricket pitch in an area sponsored by Eurocopter were;
G-SENS EC135 Eurocopter UK Ltd
G-RCNB EC120 Private
Awaiting their time to display and parked down by the visiting helicopter park were;
ZJ238 Griffin DHFS
ZJ707 Griffin DHFS
ZJ236 Griffin DHFS
These were later involved in a military set piece
Also parked here were,
ZJ264 & ZJ280 Squirrel's
I presume these were to be used in the agility competition, which didn't take place
Also parked here was ZJ703 Griffin
This was seen later in a Search and Rescue display on th lake
Parked in the visiting area were;
G-LEEJ Hughes 369HS Private
G-WOOF Enstrom 480 Netcopter.co.uk
Operating the very busy pleasure flights were
G-CEMC Robinson R44 Helicentre
G-FCUM Robinson R44 The Grange Country Club
First up in the air display was G-DADA Rotorsport UK MT-03 which put on an amazing display
Next up was G-IIHI Extra EA300 sponsored by Arbarth Cars
Finally the great Pitts Special Duo of G-BETI and G-IIIP
As far as I know that is a full list of aircraft on Saturday unless anything sneaked in to the visiting area
Obviously well down on previous years which is probably down to the weather. The cars were just as good with some amazing machines on view
Thanks for looking
Ian
