I'm getting worried now about Ryanair. They offered a great service, which I've used many times, even though they keep getting a bad press. You were getting a bus service and that's all they provided so I didn't expect any frills, however they are now going down a path, which is bound to upset the great majority of their passengers and they could be in for a nasty shock as their loads start to drop. People will put up with quite a bit to get cheaper fares but the way these add-ons are being managed is putting me off ever booking with them again. The website is a pain and the end fare price is not worth all the hassle especially as you have the worry of going through to boarding hoping you will not be charged for something at the gate! I take my hat off to the staff for they are the ones taking all the flack! Time will tell.

I have to agree, Davel. The Ryanair experience is great once you get past the Check-In process; it's the booking which is the problem. My impression is that Ryanair is deliberately confusing the booking issue so that you are charged extra at the airport. I checked the detail of my last flight out of Stansted with meticulous care but still had that feeling that I had missed something so would have to dig deep financially to actually make the flight. Fortunately I had covered everything but this is not a scenario that passengers should experience in these days of economic pressure. My belief is that Ryanair, with all these new aircraft to fill, will have to address their booking policy and make the whole process more user friendly.
