Myself and John will be visiting Brussels this week-end on our way to Hamburg. We could have gone direct but at the time I had not flown in a BAe 146 (did that two weeks ago into LCY) but I have also never been to Belgium. The reason for the thread is I need advice on spotting and photo opportunities at Brussels. Thanking you Beemer.

Beemer, myself and a mate went in June, best place we found and we didn't miss much was the top of the multi storey. Access from main terminal, cross the road, get the lift to the top and walk to the far end on the right (left gives limited views towards 2nd runway but most if not all departs in front of you on the main runway) or if you can't find it from my scant directions head for the bus station and its basically above that! We stayed up there for 10 hours and had no problems, it was warm, windy and exposed so if it's sunny wear a hat! Good views of landings ( about 50% landed on that runway as well as 100% take offs) also good views of the cargo area, DHL ramp and part of the biz area. I have to say we hardly missed a thing all day so we were more than happy. As for pics, the long haul stuff all virtually rotated in front of the spot we stood, so should be good. Any more info needed please drop me a line

If you get the chance or have the time, try and visit the Brussels Museum, Its in the exibition hall at the parc du cinquintaire. Its got one of the best collections of world war 1 planes in the world. Most are originals. Would give you some cracking photos.,
