Yes you have to be VERY careful not to make a mistake in the Aviation world, as it WILL be spotted and you WILL look silly!!!
We could start a Mistakes Thread ??

A great ad, even with the mistake...and must have cost a fortune

It is indeed a very clever ad. It certainly, even in a die-hard viewing cynic like me, satisfies the first three stages of the martketing test AIDA - Attention, Interest, Desire, Action.
Interesting to compare the BAW ad with the AF/KLM one launched at around the same time. The one with two dancers welded together on a pale reflective surface that does not mark as they dance over it. Nice images, but it leaves me wandering what is being sold. For me, at least, it only satisfies the first two stages of AIDA, leaving me confused as to the aim.
To create a minor thread drift. The other frequently screened aviation themed ad on at present is the Specsavers one. The plot has a couple in a clearly British plated heavily luggage laden car driving onto a ro-ro ferry, going up in a lift onto an aircraft carrier deck and asking the crew where duty free is. The carrier and Harrier jets are not British though. The Harriers have four number codes/registrations, but I never manage to catch the national insignia (CGI-ed out?). It could be American (but I don't think so) which leaves the Italian, Spanish, Indian and Thai Navies as contenders.

Have to admit I was impressed with the new ad, which I saw for the first time this week. I have to add that the Flying Virgins is marginally better with typical Branson subtle humour.
