Hi guys, Do we still need a permit to view aircraft at CDG? If so, does anyone have the info needed to obtain one? I remember seeing a post on here ages ago but can't find it as it also had the French wording to apply. Thanks in advance

This worked for me along with a scanned copy of my passport photo page: M. Huby, Je suis un photographe de l'aviation du UK et souhait à obtenir de autorisation de photographier à l'aeroport CDG. Merci beaucoup, Sent to: xavier.huby@seine-saint-denis.pref.gouv.fr Took about 2 weeks for the permit to arrive by post, don't forget to include your postal address I know people who've not been asked to show the permit at CDG (or LBG, which is also covered) but I'd hate to get there and be turfed off the mound for not having one. No permit required for Orly. Hope this helps, GC

Thanks Silverback, I didn't know that you could email them, so that's a great help. Many thanks

Have stayed at the Ibis Roissy - about 2 mins walk from the mound - about €80 a night as I recall. Some rooms have views over the central taxiway but windows no good for photography.

The Ibis is good Stu. Or if you can get a good rate the Hilton and ask for a runway view. The Ibis is good but I prefer a night in Paris Hilton anyday.
