I was in Moscow last week, talking to people from Beriev. During the course of the discussions, they mentioned that there is one of their aircraft on the Moscow River. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to visit it (even though it was quite close to where I was staying). I have managed to see it from Google Earth, but does anyone know any more about it? I can't find any reference to it elsewhere, but I can't belive it's gone un-noticed for so long.
The location is Rechnoy Vokzal (River Station) and it's not too far from Sheremetyevo.

That's the one! That's the best picture I've seen of it, but it looks in bad way. Apparently you can visit it, but only by prior arrangement. I think it's owned by a group of people, but from what I understand, there's no funding available to do anything with it. I'll try and get over to see it next time I'm in Moscow.
Thanks a lot for the info, Brian. I did have a look in Google but couldn't see anything.

Here is my shot of the beast from an Aeroprints tour to Moscow in 2009 to coincide with the MAKS airshow. It was early evening after our visit to Tver and Torzok... Cheers Darren Kellett

Thanks Darren. It looks like it's being cared for in that picture. I'll investigate it futher next time I'm there.
