Surely the plane would have been to high for any sort of non military seabourne attack, serious weapons would be needed to take an aircraft down at cruising altitude.

If they aircraft was reported to break into "a number of parts" by the Air comet pilot , wouldnt the debris be more widespread and well obvious . The search crews has searched all over that area and only found possiably 2 peices of aircraft and considering all of the bouyant objects inside a large aircraft (Seats , Bags , Magazines etc) wouldnt the lack of aircraft parts found floating on the ocean lead to more of a intact aircraft

i have just read on the internet ( sky news) that the wreckage found by brazilian airforces is not that of the missing air france flt A447 now just thnk how the familys are going to be like when they hear this news . this is indeed a very sad time for the airline industry. I really do hope thay find it. They have said that the parts found were probably from a cargo ship of somekind.

There are so many questions....Did the plane break up in the air? There doesnt seem to be any evidence of this now or of the plane at all! Even taking into account the size of the Atlantic, using satellites etc, surely it shouldnt be so hard to find some evidence of a plane that size? Google maps show my renault clio! Wouldnt something float? It would surely break up on impact with the water and not everything sink? What was the vertical white bright light that the Air Comet plane saw?

They also now state clearly that the oil slick is NOT aviation related ? and that a submarine is being deployed. The plot thickens every day. This incident gets far more interesting by the moment sadly than the MP`s problems. CNN have just thrown this into the pot. www.cnn.com/2009/WORLD/europe/06/05/france.plane.investigation/

I have to agree totally with Biggles.
I don't think that I can recall a modern day disaster which seems to have had so little publicity, and to have been almost dismissed so quickly.
I was not even mentioned on local radio news on the day the it occurred, and now the only things that we seem to hear are that it is unlikely that it will ever be found, it is unlikely that we will ever know the cause etc.
Let us not forget that more than 200 people have lost their lives in this disaster, and at the very least their families deserve to know what occurred.
Modern aircraft should not be brought down by storms.
We have the various automated text messages allegedly received from this aircraft, and yet nothing from the flight crew, or was there, and we are not being told.
There is now so much opportunity for the conspiracy theorists to provide input, but what is needed is French government led, and open, enquiry into the matter.
As Biggles said, the sister craft of this aircraft are still in service, perhaps they should not go out in bad weather if we are concerned that a storm was sufficient to bring down this unfortunate aircraft.

This is looking like one huge coverup. If it was a terrorist attack then Air France will want to keep it quiet, especially in the light of the Pan-Am (Lockerbie) incident which brought down the whole airline.

If it is terrorist related surely the terrorists would have been claiming a great victory by now.
