Had a stop-over at Atlanta on the way back home from California last month. Stopped at the Renaissance Concourse Hotel - 9th floor room with balcony overlooking the airport. Packed the good lady off to the zoo for the day (to see the baby pandas) and spent the day sat on the balcony with room service bringing up beer and burgers when required. Views from the room large window to the left hand end of the corridor large window at the right hand end of the corridor Movements are dominated by Delta and AirTran with relatively few international flights and some cargo and biz flights Landings and take-off were happening on four runways simultaneously. SBS was of limited help as most did not plot and it was hard to keep track of the large number of movements using altitude read-outs. Alan

Alan, Great pictures- Just love Atlanta- spot to your hearts content from dawn till dusk and then straight to the bar. Hard to sleep also with those freighters landing from about 5 am onwards. Best Airport in the world. I have stayed at the Renaissance twice 4 day stay and 3 day stay- loved it both times- it's on my bucket list to revisit in 2014, when my wife has recovered from her major surgery-also together with a few days at the Chicago Hilton, Oshkosh and a revisit to New York and Boston. Thanks for bringing back some great memories. Your report has cheered me up to face up to another visit to the hospital. Happy Spotting Bob
