Can anyone enlighten me as to what the event / occasion was when An-2 UR70363 operated pleasure flights from the Northern airfield in August 1995? TIA

It was part of a fly-in organised to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Air Britain Merseyside as it was then. I'm sure someone will be along with more details, but I wasn't involved much around that time.
Cheers,
Dave

Although the list lacks much detail, all (the very few) visits by An-2's to Liverpool can be found on: www.nwan.co.uk/an2.htmlI'm surprised that Dave did not mention that.

I believe the aircraft was never licensed to carry passengers and departed to Africa where it was destroyed in a war there.

I believe the aircraft was never licensed to carry passengers and departed to Africa where it was destroyed in a war there. Last recorded reg was EL-AKX, operated by Liberty Air, quite an ironic name for a Liberian operator! GC
