Just found this slide of XT905(?) on the apron and just about to taxi. I think the crew gave a talk a the Air Britain meeting but not sure. Can anyone confirm this? I think they departed to overfly Woodvale and returned to Liverpool and did an impressive low pass up 27. At Liverpool by paulowen248, on Flickr

Taken a bit longer than anticipated to find the answer as I spent a while looking in the wrong decade!
No.228 OCU Phantom FGR.2 XT905/CU arrived from RAF Leuchars on Thursday 2nd June 1988 at 16:33 for a local school visit (I would assume that the pilot was an 'old boy'). It departed the following day at 10:39 back to RAF Leuchars. Go-arounds at Liverpool Airport performed on arrival and departure. Tri-gram call-signs 'ZOX14' inbound and 'OLQ16' outbound. The paper NWAN magazine of the time does not note any local routings, or where the school visited was located.
I could be wrong, but I think that this occasion was the only non-airshow related visit by a RAF Phantom to Liverpool Airport.
A forgotten event. Thanks Owensy for digging out and posting the photo.
