For anybody visiting Boa Vista, Cape Verde here is some info that may help. I searched the Net for BVC frequencies, the ones I found on the official site were not in use. Freq's in use:- Tower 118.9MHz Approach 126.7MHz this actually Sal airport Approach on another island, they look after radar into and out of BVC. Sal Radar 128.3MHz this freq is sometimes used instead of 126.7. ATIS 127.00MHz BVC is daylight operations only as there are no approach lights or Nav Aids. Rwy is 21/03, the wind was 030 at 10-15knts all the time I was there so 03 for all approaches. As most flights are from the north this generally meant a left hand base leg approach with the downwind leg passing just over or off the beach. Holiday flights are most days with Wed & Fri having about 7 flights, in the main TUI blue dominates. Neos, Tom, Arkefly, BlueScan, Jetairfly etc Local flights seemed to be every day with a Cabo Verde Airlines LET410 and an ATR42 arriving 0800-0900 returning 1600-1700. I noted 2 of the 3 Lets and all 3 of the ATR's. Sat brought a SATA A320 and Sunday a White A320 using a Cabo Verde callsign. Neither of the Cabo Air 757 made an appearance I stayed at the Riu Karamboa hotel which is 1500M to the west of BVC terminal, a 300mm lens will get shots from the beach on downwind, our room 2001 was south facing at the east corner nearest the approach, again a 300mm will get the regs. Due being situated mid rwy there is very little noise at the hotel. Here are a few pics downwind and approach. Frank
