Hi Biggles, Youre right, the patient belived to be a "Diver" was being treated at the Hyperbaric Unit for the effects of the "Bends". I visited the scene were I have made contact with a Senior Member of Staff who will in the future be a able to furnish me with more details, of such visits. Anyway thanks for the info.,I dont think I will be interested in being a "Doctor" nor a "Diver" Once again Cheers. Happy Spotting. DOUGLAS12.

"Senior Member of Staff who will in the future be a able to furnish me with more details, of such visits"
Be very careful what you put on this or any site from any of the information obtained from your friendly "senior member of staff" as you could find it breaches patient confidentiality which the NHS take very seriously and could lead to your freind being sacked. Just a friendly tip.

Hi Biggles, Thanks for the advice, this was pointed out by him and he stated that he would only give me brief details etc. of the aircraft etc.. He was well aware of the dangers in giving out confidential information. I thanked him for his understanding into our "Hobby". Cheers. Happy Spotting. DOUGLAS12.

Just a friendly tip. For the record Murrayfield Hospital Wirral is a private hospital that is not part of the NHS. Your point about confidentiality is nevertheless still valid. This hospital has in the past issued press statements referring to persons treated at its hyperbaric unit but these have always been of a general nature with no patient details provided. The unit treats persons brought from all parts of the UK & Ireland and their offshore waters. Personally I do not feel it is appropriate or responsible for spotters to waste valuable time of hospital staff, senior or otherwise, calling at the hospital and questioning them about such incidents.

Hi Fox Echo, For your information I was approached by the aforementioned member of staff who enquired what I was doing there. On informing him of my reason, he said that there was no problem in taking down the registrations of the aircraft and said if he could assist me in the future with details of the aircraft, if he could. At no time Fox Echo do I interfere with whats going on at this Hospital, by wasting precious time, or being a niusance. So in the near future I will only record the numbers of the aircraft , times landing/departing if known on this Forum.
Happy Spotting, DOUGLAS12.
