Confirmed CAA scheduled flight stats for Liverpool in February 2012.
Pax total: 311013 (2012) 338516 (2011) -8% diff
Number of available seats by airline: EZY 213624 (-7%) FR 179550 (+1%) KLM 10920 (-26%) Wizz 8640 (-14%) flyBE 14352 (-46%) overall total 427086 (-7%)
Number of routes served: 49 (2012) 50 (2011) -2% diff
Breakdown of number of routes served by airline: EZY 25 (23) FR 27 (28) KLM 1 (1) Wizz 3 (3) flyBE 1 (2) Eastern 0 (2)
Number of flights scheduled: 2664 (2012) 3132 (2011) -15% diff
Average load factor for all flights: 73% (2012) 74% (2011) -1% diff
Average pax loading per flight: 117 (2012) 108 (2011) +8%
Note, for 2012 I have used flightstats.com to get the data for the number of departures/arrivals. The figures for 2011 was as per schedules in 09/27.
Because of that the February 2011 figures are not as accurate as the February 2012 ones as I have taken them from timetables and dont know if those flights ended up being flown, whereas the February 2012 ones are as accurate as I can get as they are taken off Flightstats.

at first glance its not good news.Won't shoot the messenger.lol Many thanks. The airlines will be pleased that many routes, as well as the overall figure, have increased average passenger loadings per flight.

Surely any A320/319/737 with 100+ passengers and sensibly priced tickets MUST be profitable.Seems LJLA is pulling its weight--needs more airlines to exploit it. And that's another problem.

Just to note that some of the tables above are not using decimal places and as such dont tally.
For example Milan Bergamo, 60% minus 79% isnt -20%. But using the correct figures of 59.8% minus 79.3% = -19.5% it works out.

One thing I have mentioned in the past is the decrease in seat numbers has lead to an increase in load factors, which will in turn lead to an increase in yield. I notice that this has been brought up by Tony in 09/27 too.
One (temp) possibility but waiting for security clearance. Passed a Microsoft Applications Diploma in the meantime though.
