Sorry the stats are a bit behind, been very busy trying (but failing so far) to find employment.
Just started to collect the data for January.

Confirmed CAA scheduled flight stats for Liverpool in January 2012. Figures in brackets relate to same period last year.
Pax total: 294858 (2012) 312955 (2011) -6% diff
Number of available seats by airline: EZY 215856 (-11%) FR 194670 (-2%) KLM 11440 (-23%) Wizz 11520 (-9%) flyBE 14040 (-50%) overall total 447526 (-13%)
Number of routes served: 49 (2012) 48 (2011) +2% diff
Breakdown of number of routes served by airline: EZY 25 (21) FR 27 (27) KLM 1 (1) Wizz 3 (3) flyBE 1 (2) Eastern 0 (2)
Number of flights scheduled: 2824 (2012) 3374 (2011) -18% diff
Average load factor for all flights: 69% (2012) 63% (2011) 6% diff
Average pax loading per flight: 106 (2012) 93(2011)
Note, for 2012 I have used flightstats.com to get the data for the number of departures/arrivals. The figures for 2011 was as per schedules in 09/27.
Now that I have a years worth of figures I can do some more with them, but the January 2011 figures are not as accurate as the January 2012 ones as I have taken them from timetables and dont know if those flights ended up being flown, whereas the January 2012 ones are as accurate as I can get as they are taken off Flightstats.

Just got back from a visit to a very wet and cold UK--will enjoy looking at the stats provided next week.A mixed bag at first sight. Thanks again for the effort.

Thanks for the comment, it helps to see that people take the time to read it.
I was beginning to think why take the time, trouble and effort to do the above.

Don't despair they take a lot of reading and most of us just marvel at the results gf your efforts.Few of us are qualified to do no more than look.--sorry about the original typos--just soo tired after driving back from wet and miserable England-from 4° to 26° in 2 days. You should come down for a weekend special--€90 for a double weekend room B&B-- en suite with free collection and return to Geneva--cheap as chips and good for the morale. This offer only open to forum members and aircraft spotters LOL

Yes, LPL, we mere mortals stand in awe of your efforts. Each, I suppose, interpret them as they see fit. It would be interesting to be a fly on the wall and see what the airlines make of these, and many other, comparative figures; similarly the airport management team. Congratulations once again.

Having had time to have a better read it seems our position is on the slide a bit--6% drop overall is less good than of late.hope thsi is temporary and a result of route juggling not the beginning of a slow down or levelling out. The offer to come down still stands esp. as employment is tough at the moment--treat yourself +1 to a bit of R&R -----30° today---nice just to sit in the garden, sip a glass and chill out.be tempted its easier to organise than you think.

Yes 6% down on pax but 10% down on available seats, which shows that if there are seats to be bought then LPL pax will use the flights.

Or does it show retrenching by the airlines as passengers per flight and thus yield rises?
These stats give lots of food for thought but overall give me little comfort.
I hope the annual passenger figures continue to climb because that appears to be our only lever in getting airlines interested.
ps free Wifi at the B&B. LOL

This is good news - overall there has been an increase across LJLA's network, even with some of the routes we've lost the increased load factors will make up for a large amount of the passengers we've lost from the other routes.
