Number of routes served - 49 (2011), 47 (2010), +4% (diff)
Breakdown of number of routes served by airline - EZY 25, FR 27, KLM 1, Wizz 3, flyBE 1
Number of flights scheduled - 2824
Average load factor for all flights - 71%
Average pax loading per flight - 113
Note, I have used flightstats.com to get the data for the number of departures/arrivals.

I love it when the passenger figures go up by 5% or so--and in December too.

Yes, I would suggest that many UK airports would be very pleased to have a 5% increase in passengers. Similarly, in these times of financial constraint, many airlines would be pleased with 1% load factor - accepting, of course, that we don't know the yield from 71%. Looking at the bare figures must give the airport greater incentive to go for expansion in facilities, airlines and routes. (I say 'airlines' bearing in mind the number that have gone bust just lately).

Can't see any routes there that would be unprofitable--at a fair price.As you say its perhaps time for more routes and or another player in the market.
Other than Air Berlin I cna't see any obvoius ones--unless our new owners want to join the dots and link us to Canada--now there's a thought.
