Confirmed CAA scheduled flight stats for Liverpool in September 2011.
Pax total - 512063 (2011), 487845 (2010), 5% (diff)
Number of available seats by airline - EZY 315504, FR 293058, KLM 14800, Wizz 15120, flyBE 30888, total 669370
Number of routes served - 64 (2011), 66 (2010), -3% (diff)
Breakdown of number of routes served by airline - EZY 28, FR 41, KLM 1, Wizz 3, flyBE 2
Number of flights scheduled - 4218
Average load factor for all flights - 76%
Average pax loading per flight - 121
Note, I have used flightstats.com but that has FR flights missing, for them I have reverted to using the airlines schedules but some of those flight may have been cancelled and included as being flown.
The Belfast City route figures are still skewed with having the effect of changing from FR 738's to the flyBE Dash's.

5 per cent increase is not bad for an airport in stasis is it? If we keep up like this they will have to buy some bigger aircraft.LOL

Very interesting stats. As I said before we will need bigger planes soon. It would be interesting to know which ones use A320s on a regular basis Do you think that extra rotations are becoming a possibility on some routes?. If this is stasis then I will be preserved in aspic LOL

Yes, I am presuming you mean by EZY. col1-route col2-number of departures by A320 col3-number of departures in total by EZY col4-route load factor *-route also has FR operating with the 189 seat 738 Bodrum 9 9 90% Fuerteventura* 12 12 94% Lanzarote* 13 13 93% Madrid 5 34 90% Malaga* 5 54 94% Malta 8 8 93% Rhodes* 8 8 89% The other A320 routes are the Wizz Air ones to Gdansk, Katowice and Warsaw. We know that EZY will be swapping a A319 for a A320 next summer, see thread derbosoft.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=eggpdevelopments&action=display&thread=7461 . We also know that an A319 will be taken out of the EZY Liverpool base early next year too.

Thanks for that--it all seems to be good news from where I am sitting. Fewer planes, fewer routes but more passengers just makes bigger profits-or so my economics tutor would have said. Creating greater demand during an economic turndown is not too bad a place to be--and looking at the forthcoming I/T crash at Thompsons--we never needed I/Ts anyway LOL Bet it smarts in other places. How nice to have backed the right horse for a change--well done LJLA management. Now all we need is another LoCo or an input from our new owners and things will be even better--it could happen couldn't it. Happy days.

Any questions will be gladly answered. It also confirms that LPL is doing better than the perception given by the doom mongers would have you believe.

The final CAA stats for October should have been up today but have failed to appear as yet.
My spreadsheet is waiting for those figures so I can finish it off.
