Ryanair said, when they announced Lublin and Zadar, that Liverpool would have 39 routes for Summer 2013, so I guess we will only receive one more route announcement for the time being. My understanding is that Liverpool will have 6 based aircraft for Summer 2013 but the flying programme will be additionally supported by a lot more flying by non-based aircaft through Liverpool. If they keep to that then we can look forward to that other route being added and that together with a tightening up of the schedules to take out 'un-Ryanair like turnround times of 90mins' as well as finding work for early finishing based aircraft (2020 on a Friday, 1945 on a Saturday, 2120 and 2140 on a Sunday) there is quite a bit more to come.

Are you sure it's just six? Michael O'Leary has confirmed another aircraft. “We’re going to add another aircraft there next year and two new routes and 200,000 passengers next year, which is very important when Easyjet are cutting flights there next year.” Thats taken from MOL interview to the Liverpool Post in November. Taken from The Liverpool Post - * Liverpool Post is still saying FR base units to rise by one to eight * MOL confirms that FR are committed to Liverpool "big time" * MOL - "We're are going to add another aircraft there [LPL] next year and two new routes and 200,000 passengers next year" * MOL -confirms FR and LPL have signed a new agreement, "We have a new growth agreement which we're very pleased with. We have a three year plan to grow from 2m to 3m passengers at Liverpool" * MOL on inbound traffic, "The great thing about Liverpool in recent years is that it has become a much more attractive destination in its own right. “We used to do lots of flights out of Liverpool to the Canaries and to the sun- spots in Spain and Italy. Now we have seen much bigger growth in inbound traffic coming back into Liverpool as the city regenerates, redevelops and becomes a business centre." www.liverpooldailypost.co.uk/ldpbusiness/business-local/2012/11/08/liverpool-john-lennon-airport-poised-for-return-to-growth-99623-32187073/2/

I hope you're right, but we could re-produce a lot of MOL's interviews and they will not bear any relation to what actually has happened.

Doesn't it all come down to simply whose "spin" you believe? There have been times before when the action from the scheduling department didn't match those of announcements from top management and the interpretation of their press releases by the media.
Yes, the more flights/routes through LJLA the merrier, but I am certainly not going to lose any sleep over interpreting the "spin" that could be six aircraft plus several daily from other hubs, or seven aircraft at our 'base'. This thread is becoming a bit of a point scoring match and more than a little pointless - certainly is obscuring the good news that Ryanair are back on the 'up' at Liverpool for summer 2013! Always can tell when 'point scoring' has started as multiple quotes start appearing in posts!.
Good to see 'Ametyst' contributing to the forum, welcome back after a couple of months break.
Goodnight.

Riga will now NOT be operating next summer despite originally being included in the schedules. I'm pretty sure we can expect to see around 2 more routes announced, hopefully!

On the AIRDB website they have a list of new and cancelled Ryanair routes, one of the new route's "they say" Ryanair have announced on the 3rd of feb was to LUSHAN ?. Had to look it up and its in CHINA !!!!!! with a flight time of 10:53 hours and 4894 miles. www.theairdb.com/news/20130203120-ryanair.htmlCan't see him doing that one for £6:00 each way. There also showing flights to Venezuela and Chile

I see as per my post on 23rd December that Liverpool will have 6 based units for Summer 2013, so no extra aircraft. However, Manchester will now have 2 extra based aircraft instead of one extra as originally planned.

Which week were these taken from?
Ryanair's schedule changes a lot and the last time I looked it had again changed (I'm basing it on week beginning 8th July 2013) there is no extra Lanzarote or Dublin flights however we have gained a Bergerac on Mondays at 0640, Barcelona on Thursdays at 1605, Cork on Thursday at 2045 and the friday Lublin rotation has moved to an early departure (to replace the Riga flight) and the 1700 Alicante flight is now being operated by a based aircraft.
