The ongoing arriva buses being on strike isn’t boding well on our side staff paying anything from 25 to 55 pounds to get to work.

Does Arriva have exclusive bus rights to the Airport or could another company start a service?

At last the FlyBe advert in the departure lounge has been replaced with an advert for Loganair but they only mention IOM service and have not included Derry!

There's a Derry one on the left hand wall inside Gate 11, as you enter the gate and look down the length of it. Think it says "Derry, Girls?" or something similar.

I know it’s not the airports fault but a lot of unhappy passengers this morning the LCA PMI ACE TFS FAO all down between 0130-0200
600 bags, passengers waiting up to 1hr 10mins for the bags, very hot baggage reclaim and for some reason the vending machines aren’t working or accepting money, so alot of hungry tired passengers, but we did the best we could to keep them informed, passengers off the TFS on stand 1 waiting up to 30mins on the apron before going into immigration at least it’s a warm dry evening.

Regarding the late bags, from my past experiences around the arr times mentioned, I would say it was down to the lack of staff and the staff that were on duty we're overwhelmed by the amount of aircraft in such a short time, the blame,I would say, was the handling company.

Another bunch of unsatisfied passengers tonight, ALC and PMI coming down together and passengers were all pressing the unhappy button on the passenger survey review stations, I asked them how long they had been waiting they said 45minutes.
I think 45 minutes is quite long but I have personally waited longer, don’t know if it’s the combination of tired passengers and hot stuffy reclaim which makes everyone grumpy. But the attitude and entitlement is becoming very tiring as of late.
Alicante landed first and the Palma were complaining about having to wait. I literally don’t know what to tell them. I swear they don’t know how plane arrivals work. There are 2 teams at LPL mainline and smart. Ryanair had there 3 aircraft coming down one after the other huge queues from stand 2 right back to 6-7. Most nights they only seem to have 3-4 on.

That was the norm when I worked there, the flts timed to arr.at certain time one runs late the next one arr.early and there you have it 350 pax.+ bags to be off loaded instead of 170pax and bags,it's a recipe for a trouble,it boils down to not enough staff as I said before and that principal,I think, will be there for quite some time, sorry to say.

Or perhaps down to poor time keeping from airlines? Hardly the airport’s fault if things don’t arrive to time. Wizzair particularly are shocking at the moment - must be a nightmare to deal with.
In terms of passenger’s you are doing what you can and at least you are there to answer questions. To be honest, 45 minutes used to be more like the norm for bags on a busy day. People have forgotten.

The great British public, with their increasing sense of entitlement, as frlp mentions, need to do a baggage handling shift during this weather and see how they like it. Small wonder that those who left during the Covid crisis never returned

Slots are in place for a reason and a scheduled landing time is one of those.

I've been on late flights into Liverpool and Manchester, and we've been early arriving into the Airport. In both cases we have been held on the plane until the handling agent's were free to deplane the pax and processed through the Terminal building, why aren't the Airlines told to hold the pax on the plane until the Airport is ready for them?
