Supposed to be next month but with Coronavirus concerns they may well put that back as they may think the public wont be in the mood to book travel.

I’m swissport easyjet staff since last july we have all been told to start looking for new jobs cause there will be loads of redundancies, it’s absolutely ridiculous. It shouldn't affect that many jobs at LPL as its supposed to flybe connected. www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-scotland-business-51838937

Travelling to Palma on Friday morning. When i printed boarding passes I could have changed seats if I wanted. However there were not many alternative seats showing on seating plan available. Therefore this flight seems busy, of course could be some no shows. Just arrived in Palma city. EZY 7143 LPL-PMI this morning was about 85 % full

In the short term some flights may have empty saes but thee may well have been paid for and the users decided not to turn up. Obviously this is not a loss for the airline, in this case EasyJet. In the longer term the empty seats will be because people have decide not to book.. Its just a question of timing and luck.
In my own case I have seats booked in June and September Non refundable. Obviously June will depend upon the progress of the virus, political initiatives, especially the travel ban to the USA from France, and the actions of the airline concerned.
Hopefully September will be Ok but again, the success of it will depend upon the continued existence of the airlines concerned.
We already lost flights in June (Flybe. £95,00 so no credit card refund.)

Well easyJet seem confident of still being around by the end of the summer.
Just had an e-mail stating that winter 2020/2021 is now on sale.

Agreed. Just booked Lanzarote for November. Cash flow is everything at present, well done easyJet for being forward looking. Booked on credit card of course for additional protection. Incidentally, good to see Tenerife is back next winter.

Incidentally, good to see Tenerife is back next winter. Not quite the help you are suggesting. The company don’t get the money until after the service is provided, hence if the company goes bust the credit card company can make the refund. All companies have different agreements, but the above gives you an idea.

That's true, Kuga, but it gives easyJet's bankers some comfort in knowing that trading is ongoing and that funds are held with the credit card company. I would view that as a reasonable proposition to support the company.
