You have to wonder who makes these decision , when that route had a load factor of 86% in September Load factor is one thing. Yield is more important. 100% full of folks paying £1 is not good! That would go against LCC method of operating whereby the demand for seats, ie load factor, increases the seat price. The way they do it these days isnt like the early days where prices dropped when demand slowed.

just had my flights to and from amsterdam cancelled and re-booked to/from manchester.this is the second time this has happened as these were first canx in oct when i was due to fly next week.it really shows that EZY don't give a damn about LJLA . the airport need a new operator to take over these routes with KLM needed on the Amsterdam route soon as possible.

Six based aircraft and 2 million passengers a year. Hardly a lack of commitment?

Less of a commitment than 10 based aircraft

And there have probably been plenty of opportunities to move the entire operation down the M56 but they haven’t. The problem with this forum sometimes is people whip themselves and others into a frenzy over the loss of a route or two before waiting to see if they’re being replaced by others.

One or two routes?
Basle & Mulhouse, Berlin, Bordeaux, Bournemouth, Brussels, Cologne & Bonn, Dubrovnik, Fuerteventura, Gibraltar, Ibiza, Innsbruck, Lisbon, Luton, Lyon, Mahon, Malta, Marseille, Naples, Nantes, Newquay, Palermo, Pula, Rhodes, Tallinn, Toulouse, Venice and Zakynthos (27 routes dropped in total).
To give balance, routes from Liverpool to Antalya, Bodrum, Dalaman, Heraklion, Isle of Man, Izmir, Jersey, Kos, Larnaca and Tenerife South have been added.
In addition, all other routes now have a reduced frequency.
For Summer 2023, Amsterdam is only loaded at one flight a day (used to be up to 5 a day) and Barcelona is loaded as 3 per week (used to be twice daily).
Belfast City, Geneva, Krakow, Madrid and Paris CdG have not yet been loaded for Summer 2023. Also, all easyJet flight numbers have been changed from EZY7xxx series to EZY3xxx series.
My prediction?, and I hope I am wrong, is that Liverpool will cease to be an easyJet base after October 2023. Although easyJet will continue to operate through Liverpool from other bases. It is only heading one way in my opinion.

Looks like they have gone to 5 based. Is this for next summer ? Sometime in the winter. Using the Friday schedules its definitely next Feb, could be now but will need to see Fridays schedules to confirm.

Before we all go crazy just wait until the full schedule is announced. Maybe there are additional destinations and AC. 🤔

Well quite frankly Ametyst you sometimes are a glass half-empty kinda guy. Your list of dropped and added routes is misleading as it reads as though EasyJet started with all 27 destinations and progressively dropped them. Clearly that isn’t the case.
They have been operating here 25 years so have effectively dropped a route a year and generally replaced them with somewhere else. It’s churn that happens everywhere including their larger bases. I’m sure we would all love to see them grow at Liverpool. I’m with lpltcx in the wait and see what happens camp rather than the Private Frazer camp.
