Old Aerial Photographs of Liverpool

George Jones has sent me an e-mail with details of a website that he has enjoyed several hours rumaging through, recognising places he knew when a Liverpool resident and how landmarks such as the docks and parks have changed with time. The aerial photos date from around 1928 and the library now runs to some 91 images.

Scroll right down, nearly to the end and there is the Runcorn Railway and Transporter Bridges.

Eddie correctly points out there is huge amount more on this of interest than just the Liverpool page of images.

The photos of Runcorn are excellent as the town has changed so much with all the demolition of private houses and road closures to build the new bridge. Regards Beemer. You click on my home town, St Helens and all you get is a sewage works at Hoscar, Billinge. Limit you remarks to clean ones please. ;D
