;D Just took delivery of my new bridge camera which is UK pre release model sold via QVC at huge discount on price when released this month. The Canon SX50HS comes with an unbelievable 50X optical zoom which can also be increased to a maximum of 200x but above 50 is digitally done. I took it today to Eastham Ferry to take some shots of LPJL and compare them with others I have from my trusty Lumix Bridge. 50x 100x 200x EZY Parked My only complaint so far is that the direct shots from the camera with no adjustments are overexposed, but it may be me not finding the correct settings as it is not that easy to use the controls as my Lumix and despite me owning Canon DSLR`s its not the same. But after only hours of use I have to say the 50x zoom blows everything else out of the water.

It's a hell of a lens, Biggles. No need to take a set of lenses away with you when that will do the lot. My missus, who is also a fan of QVC mentioned the same camera to me the other day and remarked on the lens. That it the new incinerator plant at Weston Point, Runcorn behind the control tower. You will be filling your boots with "over the top" shots now Biggles. Regards Beemer.

Where and what are they building in the background of the tower photos?

lpl. Re your question I hate to suggest the possibility of it being a WIND TURBINE looking at the structure. It looks familiar to the scrap yard of parts appearing on the horizon in front of my flat on the coast at Wallasey. ? Thanks for the comments and those links, my other complaint is that new cameras seem to now come with only a CD instruction book and not a paper one which is more useful, so that link was handy thanks. Anyone not purchased off QVC don`t think about any worries, you get a 90 money back guarantee, that even includes computers, cameras, and even computer programmes this camera came with a 4gb card and arrived within 48 hours. Well pleased. Just need some Blue stuff now over me and interesting trails.
