Took this pic at Niagara last month, saw 4 ex London RML's and was told by a driver they have over a dozen in use. Looked good, and sounded as if it still had an original AEC engine in it Bob Attachments:

Not thought of opening a Photobucket account Bob? It makes life a lot easier to post them to this forum and as an added bonus there a dam sight easier to view.

I have managed to open the attachment but as it is in a 'docx' file you would need the latest Word 2010 software! Unusual to have a photo in a word file!
Thanks to speedbird for making it available to all.

Well done Mike. Thanks for sorting it out. Lovely photo Bob but your driver was wrong, it's actually an RCL. She began life as a coach with London Country as RCL2252. She's obviously had a front end rebuild which makes her look more like an RML. If you have a photo of her offside she should have an enclosed rear platform. I can't find any photos of her in London Transport red and with her having the original AEC engine may have ended her service life prior the the Routemaster rebuild program which saw Volvo engines being fitted. A shot of her with London Country www.flickr.com/photos/21611052@N02/6253742385/

Thanks once again Speedbird1960. I've separated the two links as they have merged into one. Superb set of links in the rest of your post too. If anyone is interested the top link shows a standard RM with an open platform. RML's platforms are similar to this. Just to add, I'm having problems opening the first link as my server won't allow it. If any of you are having the same problem you can either copy and paste it to your address bar or click the link below to one I've found which shows the platform of an RML www.flickr.com/photos/drum118/6292360632/The second link shows the RCL (coach) version of the Routemaster with an enclosed platform. This was also common to all RMC's I've come across their fleet list which states that all but four of it's Routemasters have AEC engines. One of the RM's has a Leyland and the three RML's acquired in 2004 have Cummings. Even I've learned something new today. Their fleet list, a little outdated but bought up to date (I think) in one of the owners paragraphs. www.old-bus-photos.co.uk/wp-content/themes/Old-Bus-Photos/galleries/double_deck_toures/double_deck_tours.php

My mistake about the RCL, shoudl have known that myself, but did also photograph another couple of RML's whilst there. and a very nice Canadian bendybus ona Niagara town service
