Hi All, The key pictured below is apparently a Cold War relic, I'm trying to identify what/where it was used on/for.... Any ideas?

Nuclear warhead arming key? Has a round grip to prevent unintended turning and looks to have a lanyard fitting to be worn around the neck. Presumably one of a non-matching pair for the two man rule........ Maybe from a submarine delivery platform?
Or maybe I've been watching too many movies!
Regards, Garry

Nope. The chap who passed on the photo said this:
"Clue - It's a cold war relic but it doesn't arm any kind of weapons system. The people who used it are probably secretly admired by most UK politicians, but especially Labour Party Home Secretaries."
There are some clever and very knowledgeable chaps on here.. hoping someone may know.
