BOAC-Cunard tie-up lasted from around 8.62 through to late '66 maybe just into '67, mostly Boeing 707, but also Super VC-10. Wikipedia states 1962-1966 (short entry on BOAC-Cunard Ltd). Oddly BOAC is the only older British Airline I don't have a published history for. The twin lines on tail scheme, as far as I can remember was applied to the early Boeing 707 fleet and the first VC-10s, but later Super VC-10s were delivered in the all blue tail with gold speedbird logo, memory places the change over as mid 60s. A quick web sufftie and find G-ARVE with white bands 1964, speedbird 1966, so evidence supports the little grey cells (for a change!). The blue tail and gold speedbird lasting until the 4.74 BEA/BA merger and the white tail with quarter flag, although I think the scheme was introduced just prior to the official date. There was a period of interim scheme, mixing the BA tail and titles with the BOAC window cheat. There is an excellent BOAC fleet list www.ab-ix.co.uk/boacfleetlist.pdf compiled from solely from BOAC records without reference to GINFO or production histories.
