I could not believe this item in the LDP regarding this event which will take place here in Liverpool in 2014to quote the chief executive Max Steinberg"we are doing this to create something special and unique for business, for Britain and for the world",after more praise heaped on this good project,it then transpires that the organisers of the event Liverpool Vision have contacted Manchester council and he says"we have met with their leadership and they will be taking part and having a place in the festival"
Im pretty sure that if Manchester were holding this event we as a city would not be invited,i find it incredulous that that they have been invited to this event, which is designed to bring new business into LIVERPOOL,not once did the good burghers of Manchester deemed any help to the city during their renaissance, look at the growth of Ringway,as soon as LPL JLA started to grow with the locos Man decided to have a piece of the action and we have all seen what happened we get crumbs and they get the best routes so much for sharing it around.
I cannot believe our city leaders are so gullible when dealing with Manchester we are virtually saying "have it all leave us the crumbs"and when the event takes place will the business leaders fly into LPL i think not destination Manchester,so how will LPL benefit from that answer ZILCH.
Like this coalition government and labour before it it has always favoured Manchester lets not make any bones about it Liverpool always struggles under the shadow of Manchester,in this one time we have to showcase what we have to offer Manchester has to get involved, and i believe to the detriment of liverpool this cannot be good we need to REMOVE the invitation and say sorry we made a mistake. How did Liverpool benefit from the Commonwealth games held in Manchester NIL,HS2(on our hands and knees begging the government to run a line up to LPL)
Manchester will probably benefit more from this festival, because they have had years of underhanded dealings with business, what our leaders are doing is like giving the keys of the city to the enemy and saying help yourself
