Ryanair has confirmed it will once again be operating the winter-only ski flight to Grenoble.
Flights operate weekly on a Saturday (dep LPL 17:50, arr LPL 22:05) from 19/12 to 27/3/10

grenoble is the nearest of the 4 main airports to us but it is not convenient to get to. Must visit during the Winter season and get a few photos. It is normally a quiet place with few services--even smaller than Chambery.

per TravelMole:
The cost of checking in a bag on Ryanair flights is being hiked from October 1. Checking in a bag at the airport will cost £30, up from £20. Doing so online in advance will cost £15, up from £10. It will cost passengers £70 to check a second bag in at the airport or £35 by the internet in advance. Each bag will have a separate 15KG allowance to allow passengers to travel with up to 30KG of checked in baggage – double the current allowance of 15KG. The increases are “part of the airline's programme to encourage passengers to travel with carry on luggage only”. The airline said: “All passengers can avoid these optional checked in baggage fees by travelling with carry on baggage only.”

Carry-on luggage only? Already you have to wrestle your way past passengers whose idea of carry-on luggage is to take everything they own including the kitchen sink. Before too long people will be checking-in wearing seven t-shirts and two pairs of trousers to cut down on the inevitable 'carry-on luggage charge'! ;D

I can see the sales of "poachers coats"...thats them long ones with all the pockets inside and out...rising at this rate for Ryanair customers.
You could get all your clothing required for your stay into one of those and just walk on the aircraft wearing the said coat, then take it off and store it in the overhead for the flight.

Ryanair has been fine tuning the winter schedule and it now makes a bit more sense (which probably means it will change yet again!!). Basically the schedule requires 6 aircraft, apart from Saturday evening when a 7th is needed.
On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday morning one of the 6 doesn't start it's day until around noon, and on Wednesday and Thursday one aircraft finishes around 7pm. On Sundays one aircraft appears to sit around from 14:40 to 19:15.
This all might just be building in slack (though surely the 7th aircraft provides that) or perhaps some more of the ex-MAN routes are still to come our way?

It then drops down to 2*per week flying Wednesdays and Sundays up to the end of the winter schedules. So far no summer timings have been released.
