Thanks for that Jordan. All the LED's were lit as I took the photo but as you see there are some bright and some are dull. Regards Beemer.

I don't trust the accuracy of the local signs, but earlier this week they were saying there will be bridge works and lane closures "ON" the 24th march (not "from"...) so perhaps this is a short term one-off job.

Can someone please explain to me why there were two lanes closed on the bridge tonight, it took me 1 3/4 hrs to get to Hawarden tonight because they (?) decided to close the two middle lanes. You can bet no one was working on them in these conditions.

Jake3 I think you will find that was the situation all day after the morning closure due to snow/slush falling in large 'lumps', including one through a car windscreen (according to the report on the closure - see the thread). i.e. a safety matter.

The matrix signs on the approach to the Runcorn bridge are showing that there will be lane closures on the Sunday 12th of May, expect delays. Reason unknown as the Halton BC web page has not been updated for many months. Hope this helps. Regards Beemer.

Yes I am afraid so Les. I will have to curtail my Saturday visits to the Meerkat mound for the foreseeable future till they are finished but saying that I have a trip around Warton (starting at LJLA) on the 22nd so will return via Warrington.Regards Beemer.

....and just to add, the "rat run" via Watkinson Way to avoid the bridge congestion is closed on Sunday the 23rd. I wonder if I could hire one of the Yellow Ducks from the Albert Docks to cruise from the West Bank to the South Bank. On second thoughts, no. Regards Beemer.

Used the above rat-run on my way back from tour of BAe Warton. Bridge very busy but rat-run empty. Regards Beemer.

crossed the bridge tonight at 18:05 and was shocked to see actual workers doing work on the bridge, I have sent a email to Halton council to complain, how dare they shut lanes and actually carry out work.
