Hi, I am visiting Blackpool at Easter and can anyone tell me a good place to spot from, I cannot walk very far or stand very long.

Hi, probably the best place to see things that are already in is at the morrisons supermarket car park, though you are limited to a two hour stay there. Also if you continue to follow the road that takes you to morrisons and take the next right after the jmax hanger it will bring you parallel to the runway. Alternatively if you enter the airport by car and follow the road towards the blue hanger past the pub (keep it on your left hand side) it will bring you to a grass car park (which is free, from here you can see the light aircraft which are based and arrivals and departures. Views from the terminal are none existent.

you can look round these hangers if you are up to it? blackpool academy take a £3 donation for a look round the others a free. have a good time from a fellow stokie

stokey shame you won't get to see the Vulcan shown on the Google image as the old girl has been scrapped I remember going aboard her not long after her arrival for the princely sum of £1.50 money well spent

Hi JJ, I had seen the vulcan many years ago, that was before Morrisons and co moved in. I remember paying £1 as a donation to visit the hanger behind it. Regards Les aka stokey
