Popped down to Mildenhall and surrounding area for a week. Not a lot of action but what there was was interesting. Two C130's heading in. Sorry about the quality but it was taken at a distance of about two miles. I've included it as its not something we see very often. The two below this are of a based craft on touch & go training and a visitor. Plenty of KC-135 movements. The first shot shows one silhouetted against a night sky - well just dark enough for me to capture the landing lights. The second is on training and the third is a shot I got quite by chance. I was at the end of runway 11, camera at the ready, when a C5 landed on 29 but sod's law struck once again and the batteries let me down - so no taxing shots of that. So of I went to the village to buy some. Whilst there I decided to visit the end of 29 to see if I could get a shot of it parked up when a KC-135 made the first of two aborted landings. This being the first attempt. I can assure you the wing got even closer to the ground than this. The RC-135 will soon form part of the RAF fleet. Here's a USAF Rivet Joint version taxing on 29. A number of C17 Globe Master's visited and this was just one of two parked on the taxiway. The other is seen departing 29. And last but not least, the C5 Galaxy on the main apron. Enjoy Steve

Hi Vanguard
Would have to agree with you there but not been down to the 'hall for a long time now. The airshows in the 80's & 90's were brilliant and used to stay in a nice pub / hotel in Watton. Those were the days!
Cheers Griff
