Indonesian ferries

I thought some of you would like to see this,some pics of Indonesian ferries plying between Bali and Java,not all look seaworthy !.

SP Ferries at sea, between Gilimanuk and Ketapang.



Again between Gilimanuk and Ketapang various operators provide a what seems like 10 minute services it takes about an hour between Bali and Java.



Dramatic Scenery on Java Indonesia,with many volcanoes,both active and dormant.



Some Ferries are for trucks only.



With the beautiful balinese scenery behind this is a very busy sea lane.

Don't think I'd like to take my chances on that SP Ferry tub though ;D

seen older vessels in better nick than that!!. i know i wouldnt want to ride one of them

Great photos-- nice to see other transports although the tub is one I would not even set foot on.

Now I know why so many of these rustbuckets regularly sink, and drown hundreds of people in the process.
