Wow a KC135 would do nicely! Hopefully I'll be able to listen to it all on the scanner like when the reds were at Blackpool for Windermere's show. Thanks for the heads up griff.

Don't expect too much from the KC135. If its anything like the display at Lowestoft it will pass you just twice, once with the refueling boom down. It also takes up a two to three mile turning circle, so if you want great shots you will need to take a heafty zoom with you.

Hi woodvale warrior.
I came home from the Lakes the day before the Windermere show so missed the Reds & the Vulcan - doh!
Looks like the Vulcan will be back for the Whitehaven Maritime festival in mid August.
Has the AVRO flown at Woodvale yet do you know?
Cheers Griff

mtl north, I'm certain Griff's reference to an AVRO at Woodvale refers to the possible flight of the 1909 replica, not an appearance by the Vulcan. The Vulcan did appear at Windermere on the Saturday afternoon (and by so doing rescued an otherwise dismal display), after failing to fly at Yeovilton two weekends before due to a hydraulics problem.
