I'm still attempting to understand Ryanair's non-based Liverpool flights.
The airport arrivals board reports the FR8929 from Malta has arrived and according to Flightradar24 this is B738 EI-EBY. The FR flight number appears to be the same as the RYR callsign. Why can't they ALL be???
Although the Cork flight has also arrived, and is now preparing to return to Cork as RYR8TN (its old callsign),the flight did not plot inbound on FR24 as either FR9896 or RYR3KT. It is last reported as operating on 29th March. Presumably the ORK-LPL sector does have a new callsign which is not yet entered in the system.
Still confused,Keith

RYR3KT is the old Alternate Callsign for FR9896, the new one is RYR2QV and i have now amended this on Flightradar's Database. As you say it would be simpler if they only used Flight numbers and Callsigns that matched, but the Alternate Callsign is issued by ATC and normally changed every six months. Mike
