Jake, I'll say this as gently as I can, but I really do think someone is winding you up big time!
No way are Airbus going to send an totally unproven aircraft on its maiden flight for a fly-by at a components manufacturing site. I'd be amazed if a fly-over is even programmed for Toulouse - after all the first flight is to verify that unproven systems are working and the approach and landing speeds and configurations match expectations, not to go off on a publicity 'jolly'. A number of airliner types have flown the whole of the first flight of type with the undercarriage down while the aircraft's initial performance is being explored, one less thing to go wrong. The first flight is a traditionally a cautious, tentative affair - well planned in advance, knowing that any problem would be a PR disaster!
We will see the Airbus A.350 over the North West in the coming months, of that I am certain given the large input the Chester site has into the airframe production, but on the first flight of type - no way! Well not until I am proved wrong on Friday!

Totally agree VISCOUNT thought it was odd myself, but the information came from the head of Communications for Airbus. As I said as I said in the original "If it happens great if not don't shoot the messanger."

Airbus A350 (MSN1) is making its maiden flight this friday (14th) from tolouse at 10am local time (weather and atc permitting), this aircraft will NOT be making a fly past at broughton or filton or any other european factory, just to clarify this is a initial flight systems test and will be a 'local' flight.
