D'oh! What a muppet!

Pottering around the house and the garden today... heard the sound of what seemed to me to be a very low airliner going overhead my house. I shot outside expecting to see something large departing from Manchester, such as the Virgin 747 or similar... saw nothing...??

Shot back inside, opened up FR24 to see what it could have been.... nothing nearby... What the heck??

Then, the penny dropped. What I'd heard was a 'plane, presumably on finals for Heathrow, coming over The Queen's Club, on the telly.... durrr...

We're all prone to that, many is the time I've gone to answer the front door bell only to find it was on the telly!!

The one that always get me, is when i am out in the car and i hear a Police Siren blasting away only to find out its coming from the radio,.

Before today I've ran out of the house thinking a helicopter was going overhead only to discover it was someone mowing their lawn......!

All the microlites that fly over my house sound like lawn mowers. Made that mistake a few times.
