Great shots that brought back a lot of memories for me. Especially the ones of Liverpool Marina where I spent many hours helping my ex father in law in the manufacture of boat covers which we tailor made from scratch. A fantastic job that took us to some of the best located (scenic wise) marinas in northern england and wales. Would often get chased by swans, dogs, geese, etc. I was at a marina near Northwich (can't remember the name) when a Transit van came along the tow path towing a trailer. Two men and a woman got out of the van, removed a hotair balloon from the trailer and once fully inflated one man climbed into the basket with the woman and took off. Superb sight and a great job, brilliant in the summer but bitterly cold in the winter and I'll never, ever, forget being bitten by a spider. Wooooouch!!!!!.
I also spent a celebratory night in the club house there as a guest of my uncle who at that time was Master of the Master Mariners Association (sadly nolonger with us now) but no doubt if the Association still exists his name will still be in gold letters on the board he showed me whilst I was there.
Thanks for bringing back some superb memories.
