World's most famous tall ship in Liverpool cruise terminal debut.The magnificent 1937-built windjammer will be at the landing stage until Monday. The world’s most famous tall ship made her debut at Liverpool’s Cruise Terminal 40 years after starring in a television series about the city. The three-masted, fully-rigged Norwegian tall ship Christian Radich was featured in the hit 1970s drama series The Onedin Line, based on the Baines family, who lived in Duke Street. Although scripted by Liverpool writer Cyril Abrahams, the BBC filmed the series mainly at Exeter and the River Dart, as Liverpool looked too modern. The magnificent 1937-built windjammer, which is in superb condition glowing with varnished woods and sparkling brass and copper trim, will be at the landing stage until Monday.
