This one seems to have gone almost unnoticed in the bus world. Impera was one of Merseysides newest companies formed in April 2011. Based in Moreton it mainly operated on the Wirral but ventured into Liverpool on what proved to be ill-fated Merseytravel none commercially viable services (NCVS). Retreating back to the Wirral it continued operating buses on it's own commercially viable network as well as providing buses for Merseytravel NCVS/school contract work.
On it's demise it employed 63 people and operated 21 vehicles. It's school services are now being operated by Stagecoach with some of it's local bus services being covered by Arriva and Avon.

Was this the company who ran the Blue and Yellow buses for school collections ? blue and yellow barely describes them as every one I saw parked outside the nearby schools looked a total disgrace, filthy dirty all over windows you probably couldn`t see out of, I hate to think what the insides looked like. Even when mobile with kids on I am sure the number of children standing around the driver or not seated must have constituted an offence.
