Just noted signs in and around Llandudno advertising the event below. Details below taken from Bodelwyddens web site.
29th, 30th & 31st August: Bodelwyddan Castle Show and Hot Air Balloon Extravaganza 2009
Mass hot air balloon launch (Sat/Sun – weather permitting), children’s fair rides, mini market/trade village, big beer marquee, live acts, large arts and crafts marquee and much much more!
Night Glow (Sat 9.30pm to 10.00pm and Sun 9.30pm to 10.00pm)
- Watch in amazement as the hot air balloons line up in the arena and burn their burners in time to the music, accompanied by a magnificent fireworks display, a spectacle not to be missed!!
Admission: Saturday / Sunday / Monday - Entry £4.00 (Children under 4yrs - Free), Family Ticket £12.00 (Based on 2 adults & 2 children), Friday Night ONLY £2 Entry & All Fun Fair Rides £1.
Show opening times: Saturday 9:30am – 10pm, Sunday 9:30am – 10pm, Monday 10am – 8:30pm.

Having watched the weather from afar, I doubt if any of the inflations took place due to the southerly wind. Anyone see any actiivty from the Castle field ?

Had a quick look from the outside at 1800hrs Sat.
Just the one tethered, WFU Agfa film case special shape, G-OXRG, being buffeted about!

must be that time of year when all the balloonists take to the skies as i have come across more activity on the 4th,5th and 6th of sept again but this time chatsworth house near bakewell. info on www.visitpeakdistrict.com

Thanks for the heads up Bob. Unfortunately, either the web link has been updated since you posted it or I can't see the event for looking. At my age its probably the latter. ;D In case anyone else has the same problem I've placed a direct link to the event at the Chatsworth House web-site.
