Only if we win the lottery though This super luxury yacht can be hired for £400,000 pwk in today's money (not by us unfortunately ) The 280ft long MV Solandge berthed at Cammell Laird shipyard, Birkenhead, on Sunday morning, and is in dry dock for repair following an incident in the Irish sea while, apparently en route from the north German shipbuilder to the Caribbean the yacht damaged a propeller shaft, possibly by hitting an underwater object. Strange but true, the vessel's Automatic Identification System (AIS) - (similar system to that used by aircraft - squawk code) was switched off at 1am on Sunday and the yacht then appeared at the Mersey Bar around 7.30am to pick up a pilot. Note the activity going on in yard itself, with RFA Fort Rosalie (centre), Irish Sea Pioneer (centre right), RFA Wave Ruler (behind Irish Sea Pioneer) & the wind farm turbines ready to be shipped out (top left). Have a look at my other photo's & you can see the cranes - one in the process of being refurbished. The yard has several berth cranes - 2 being 45 ton lifters (very interesting - if you're into that sort of thing )

icebreaker, A snip at £ 400,000 per week, you could " push the boat out " and charter motor yacht ACE at 1,000,000 euros per week plus expenses, built in 2012 by Lurssen in Germany, seen her close up at the quayside in Barcelona summer 2012, and thought the same " maybe one day "

You must be very well off to have one of those yachts and just as rich to afford one of these sat on the deck. Agusta 109 seen by us in Monte Carlo last year on board the MV Avengard II. Regards Beemer.

& very nice too, I wondered where the helicopter would be positioned. Having read the specs of the yacht, apart from the swimming pool & jacuzzi (both of which are clearly visible)the inventory did state a helicopter pad was included but from my birds eye view wasn't visible.Still wondering though why the transponder was turned off &, who might have been on board.........

The helicopter pad is where it is standing. It slides out on rollers and doubles in size. Regards Beemer.
