Another long established bus company bites the dust. Although not a surprise as, along with many others, it has been struggling for years. The final nail in the coffin being the fatal coach crash last year that claimed the lives of three local people. Why was that the final nail, surely they must have been insured? Well yes they where but it's the extravagant insurance renewal cost thats hammered the nail home. Surely, there has to be something wrong here. You pay insurance to safeguard your company against such events but it is becoming increasingly more likely that, if your unfortunate to have one, the cost of renewal ensures that your company goes too.

BBC North West news item on them losing the licence was badly researched and reported.
Time BBC NW got some new researchers and editors who can do their jobs properly. It was not the only story that fell into this hole this week.
It should be becoming embarasing for their management.

Regarding the demise of bus company involved in the fatal crash. It was reported, rightly or not, that the removal of their licence was also to do with a long history of poor maintenance which surely would impact on safety ?
