Has anybody noticed that these ridiculous suggestions all originate north of the border? In my view, its just another way of raising tax, so that the English Taxpayer is squeezed a bit more to subsidise whatever it is that the Scottish Parliament gets up to.
Whilst on the subject of North of the border, has anybody else made the connection between the two biggest bank bailouts, (Royal Bank of Scotland and Bank of Scotland..part of HBOS, in turn part of Lloyds.) The two biggest banks in the country that would have independance (Wish they would). Furhermore, the last two chancellors have been Scots.. Co-incidence would you think?

If the Jockistanis had had their way and become an independent country, that country would now be broke...big time...as the bailout of RBS alone would have done the job, without any help from HBOS.

Anybody been to Denmark? They have a sugar tax there - all their coke-type drinks are a lot more expensive than they are here. Their tax on those is something like 27%
