Having been the owner of many, many airband radios over the last 40+ years some good, some exceptional and some absolutely garbage. I have just spotted a new kid on the block offered on Ebay item # Item number: 370172404824 called the Black box Air band radio, it states it is safe to use on board aircraft as it does not oscillate during operation, it also self seeks any freqs, and will pick up more than one instantly in the area you use it and incl the latest 8.33mhz spacing and has the antenna built into the earpiece. Seems too good to be true so far. Being offered for sale by a very reputable radio shop Waters and Stanton it may well do as it says on the box and at about £70 it should do as it takes it out of the toy market price. Anyone seen or used one yet
