Does anybody know if there are any roadworks on the Runcorn Bridge this week-end Saturday 8th March as I've not been across lately and wondered whether I should allow a little more time for my journey. Any information would be much appreciated. Thanks Les McS

Les, there are no roadworks indicated for this week-end on the bridge. Regards Beemer. Try this link, Les. It is a bit slow to warm up but gives a moving image of bridge traffic. www.widnes-weather.co.uk/cameras.php

I love the bit about" should I allow a little more time for my journey".Just take your dinner with you.Reminds me of Parts Distributers,Merseyside(the BMC dealers in Hanover Street a couple of centuries ago.Any one remember them?).It used to be a standing question as you stood in the queue " eh mate ave youze got yer dinna wid yer?" And we victims all knew what he meant.

Thanks Brian, I usually look at the traffic cam in the morning before I head for the bridge but thanks for the link anyway, not been to Wales for a few months but in response to MB's comment yes that was a bit tongue in cheek as last time it took me longer to cross the bridge than it did from Runcorn to North Wales. Good news though thanks to you both for the updates. Have a good week-end. Regards Les McS

Les, just to give you (...and others) early warning that the bridge will have lane closures next week-end, the 15th/16th of March. Regards Beemer.
