We saw this BMW wrapped in cling film being loaded onto a KLM 747 while we were at Schipol. I have no idea if it is a current model or a prototype. Photo taken thru' the pallets and the like.

No idea but I do like it!
Off topic but do any other BMW owners find the 140W limit on the cigarette lighter socket annoying if trying to use an inverter for charging laptop/SBS?

Think it's the BMW i8 - a hybrid. Deliveries aren't scheduled in Europe til June but maybe earlier in Gulf States or farther afield. Was going to order one but they wouldn't do it in easyJet tango.. ..and please don't forget the second H. it's Schip Hol literally - 'ship's hole or hollow'

Thanks for your help, chaps. I have now found one with Google. Oh, and thanks for the spelling correction, Maverick. Schiphol.

Yes, once you know it means ship's hole or hollow it is easy to remember the second H. I remember pointing it out to British Airways, no less, who spelt it incorrectly on one of their leaflets! They replied saying it was the Dutch spelling which was absolute hollocks.

Just shy of £100K and I bet your inverter still won't work in the ciggie lighter! Mind you if you stump up that kinda wonga it's probably the least of your worries .
