Not sure if this has been posted previously but the NATO Summit will be held at The Celtic Manor Resort, Newport, South Wales on 4th & 5th September.
No idea which airports will be involved but would hazard a guess at Rhoose, Filton and Lulsgate as likely contenders.
As an aside, this will be the first time a serving POTUS will have visited Wales!

Well it won't be Filton, because it's closed. Given the large number of large aircraft which arrive for these events, I imagine that St Athan will be in contention, not least for security reasons, though it's runway might be a bit short for some of the larger beasts which turn up. Rhoose has a decent-sized runway and a disused runway which could be used for parking, but I suspect Lulsgate may be too far away and it requires a crossing of the River Severn and both bridges can be a real problem at times.
I am involved in the organisation of this to a small degree, but I haven't been told anything yet - I'm simply going by others I've been to. No doubt the President Of The US (POTUS) will arrive at Rhoose with the usual fanfare and the attendant convoy of vehicles...

Well it won't be Filton, because it's closed. Doh, forgot about the Filton closure!
Thought about St Athan too and agree its good from a security point of view but wasn't sure of the remaining infrastructure for handling a number of visitors. Oh and not the easiest airfield from a spotters perspective at the best of times!

Oh and not the easiest airfield from a spotters perspective at the best of times!Which is probably one reason why they'll use it! A couple of Portakabins for immigration and customs (the formalities normally take place on board), and I suppose they could borrow some ground equipment from Brize, which is not too far away. In fact it occurs to me that some of the arrivals may go there anyway, especially the support teams for POTUS.

Further update from the SWAG site, there is also an on-line poll so they can gauge the number of potential spotters visiting:
EXTRA: It is understood the Airport also intend to set up a section or sections of ground somewhere on the south side for 'enthusiasts' to gather and enjoy whatever visitors attend. With thanks to staff at Cardiff Airport and the Website we can now update this. The Vale of Glamorgan Council will be providing a private parking area at the PORTHKERRY Caravan site which is at the end of runway 30 for aviation enthusiasts visiting Cardiff Airport for the NATO conference. Please refer to Cardiff-airport.com and then MEDIA and NEWS for the full press release about parking restrictions etc. We will make enquiries about times and any costs as soon as possible

If this jamboree had to be held in Wales why didn't they hold it all within RAF Valley? After all it's only a conference not a freebee beano, isn't it??.

An update from the South Wales Aviation Group Facebook Page
The Vale of Glamorgan Council will be providing a private parking area at the Porthkerry Caravan site, which is at the end of runway 30, for aviation enthusiasts. Temporary road signs will direct visitors to the site. The car park will open 14:00 2nd September and 06:00 Wednesday 3rd - Friday 5th September. The parking fee will be £3.00 per car with all proceeds being donated to charity by the owners.
@ £3.00 per Car and you can take your own food & Drink compared to £25.00 at the café bar, a place where the owner has BARRED most of the local Spotters, one of whom was barred for stating that the £15.oo admission for the French Rugby Airlift was excessive!!
So Radio Cardiff will play the Les Mis song "Empty Chairs & Empty Tables especially for the Owner of the Cambrian Café Bar!!!
